These pages describe a sort of blog-ish time log on my 'GameToy' hardware project (stalled indefinitely).

The STK500 arrived. It's surprisingly small; compare to the width of the breadboard for instance:
I inserted a ATmega32 chip and flashed a simple led blinking application, which promptly set all of the leds on. After adding a major delay loop after each iteration, the test started doing what it was expected to do, i.e. flash the leds at a frequency that a mortal human can perceive.
Also made a trip to the local electronics store and bought bunch of components, so I can try to see if I can get the screen to show something properly this time.
On the upper left corner you can see that I added row of header pins to the LCD so that the connections are more safe without needing to solder anything to the screen yet.
Comments are appreciated.
